ADMISSIONS COMMITTEE

Objectives

1. Ensure that people admitted into LIA membership have obtained appropriate qualifications, have obtained requisite experience and they are ethical.

2. Ensure that there is an appropriate policy on admissions.

Specific Terms of Reference

1. Determine, for Council’s approval, qualifications for admission.

2. Determine, for Council’s approval, experience and ethical requirements for admission.

3. Ensure there is a criterion for admission, approved by Council.

4. Design an appropriate training record for prospective members.

5. Review applications for admission and make appropriate approvals into membership, where applications fit squarely within the approved criteria.

6. Refer approved admissions to Council for noting

7. Where the committee is in doubt, refer applications to Council.

8. Review from time to time, what improvements are necessary for the admission process.
