PRACTISING MEMBERS COMMITTEE
Proposed Terms of Reference
Objectives:
-
To represent practicing members and their interests on
the decision
making structures of the Institute.

2. To play an advocacy role on behalf of practising
accountants in:
-
facilitation of market access
-
lobbying for change in laws which do not favour
accountants.
Specific Terms of Reference:
-
To identify the needs of, and promote the interests of
practicing members within the framework of the
profession and to encourage their participation in the
profession.
-
To encourage communication and cooperation between
practicing members.
-
To encourage practicing members to jointly advise the
institute on
matters which may have an impact on their practices.
-
To advise the Institute on CPD programs appropriate to
the needs of practitioners and to encourage members to
undertake CPD.
-
To identify opportunities for practicing accountants.
-
To identify loopholes and inconsistencies in the laws
which affect the practice of accountants, and solicit
amendments of such legislation.
